Egg Tarts Recipe

Check out these simple and delicious recipes that you can use with UMF flour.

Egg Tarts Ingredients:

Pastry
300g Cap Kompang
200g butter
5-10g cold water


Egg filling

4 eggs, beaten
140g caster sugar
150g evaporated milk
260g luke warm water


Method:

Egg Custard :

  1. Dissolve sugar in the lukewarm water.
  2. Add evaporated milk and eggs into the sugar mixture. Stir till even.
  3. Strain the mixture and keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. (Do not freeze)

Tart’s crust:

  1. Rub butter in Cap Kompang until crumby.
  2. Add in cold water and mix till dough is formed.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into round shapes to fit tart moulds.
  4. Place the cut dough sheets into tart moulds and pour egg filling into each mould until nearly full.
  5. Bake at 168°C for 30-40 minutes.
